I was just driving down Center St. in Kingsport and while at a red light I was looking around as we all do. Well to my HORROR I saw this little old lady laying face down on the sidewalk in front of the post office (which is right across from the police station). I assume she had fallen and there were several people around her, but no emergency personnel. From the amount of people around her it was obvious that this isn't something that JUST happened and I can promise you that the fire department could have been there and for goodness sake a police officer probably could have walked there (yes the station is THAT close). So I decided to call 911...it seriously took 8 or 9 rings for the operator to answer and then I told her what I saw and where it was...she pauses and then says "where was this at?" so I told her and then she said "Yeah OK I'll let someone know." I hung up thinking WHAT??
So the moral of my blog is that I know that 911 operators are supposed to remain calm in the face of chaos, but could she at least of sounded like she might respond to my call with a sense of urgency?

No permit...No water....REALLY?????
When I came across this story this morning online….I was
shocked, disgusted, amazed…hell I don’t even know what word I should use to
describe what I thought. However this much I do know, our country is going to
hell in a hand basket when we can no longer do good deeds for one another
without having to pay somebody to “allow” us to do them. This woman was handing
out bottles of water in 112 degree weather….isn’t that a good deed? I mean if I
was outside walking around during a festival in that kind of heat I would love
it if someone handed me a FREE bottle of water…wouldn’t you? I get the fact
that she was doing it during a festival, but it was FREE she wasn’t SELLING
anything. I think we can all see the problem here…she was giving away FREE
water while getting her message across AND she didn’t pay money to the city to
be “allowed” to do so. Therefore the city didn’t get any money and they were
pissed about that.
I amend John Whitehead from The Rutherford Institute and
think the city should issue her an apology.
The sad part is that this issue shouldn’t have had to come down to
religion and someone’s 14th amendment rights…all that happened here
was a good person doing a good thing…and I think this world needs a little bit
more of that myself!

What is a girl to do?????
In the last
few months I have had a lot going on and haven't really had time to date much,
but when I sit back and think about all the guys out there I have no choice but
to ask myself...Where am I going to find a guy that will really accept me for
who I am? After all, I can be a lot to take...I don't take shit, I don't treat
men like they did in the 50s, I’m not a homebody, I’m not domesticated and I’m very
opinionated. Basically I'm a girl that thinks like a guy! Usually what I have
found is that at first a guy will say "I'm good with that...I like a girl
that knows what she wants", but after dating a few months they start to tighten
my reins…expecting me to be sitting on the couch every night, cooking dinner
and cleaning up after. Well this is when everything goes to hell....because
that is not who I am. Yes sure there are guys out there that are not looking to
get too serious too soon, but they are usually 1.) immature or 2.) only looking
for a one night stand or both. Why can’t there be a happy medium when it comes
to dating/relationships? A friend of mine suggested online dating sites and
I've window shopped on a few of them, but I'm just not sure it is a good fit
for me. Yet I never say never so we will see where that will lead......
With all
that said...here are a few examples of what I've dealt with in the last couple
of weeks....after reading this I'm sure the above spiel will make more sense :)
Guy #1: We
went out a few weeks ago and within 2 hours he had already informed me that CJ
isn't a proper profession for a woman and that I was crazy for having gay
friends....yep 1 date ONLY!! After that very horrible date he actually texts
me to see if he could see me the next night...my exact text was "if I
decide to go out again I will text you"! The piece to resistance is after
I posted on FB where I was and what I was doing the following night, he text me
"Yeah that was real nice of you to stand me up"....my response was
"NOOOOOOOOOO I said IF I wanted to see you again I would text you...I
didn't text you, therefore I didn't stand you up". Needless to say that
was the end of that and good riddance I might add!!!!
Guy #2: This
is a guy I hooked up with in the past, went years without talking to him and
then (just my luck) he found me on FB. Well he has been trying to get me to
"come see him" for months on end (even though he has had several
girlfriends during this time). Aside from the fact that he is obviously a
DOG....I think the part about him that annoys me the most is if I happen to
message him or respond to one of his messages with a question he NEVER answers
it! So guy#2...I stand by what I said to you...in order to be interesting to
me, you have to be interested!!!
Don’t get me
wrong…I get ask out a lot, but I never have a true connection with any of the guys. All I’m looking for is a guy I’m
attracted to both mentally and physically that will let me be me…now where do I
find him?

Late August 2012....what a day!!
Wow...where do I begin?
First the class that I was looking forward to the most (crime mapping analysis)...WAS CANCELED! I replaced it with Criminal Law (all I can say is MEH!). However on a brighter note I got my name put down to hopefully do an internship this semester..so we will wait and see if I get it *fingers crossed*.
Aside from my morning of disappointment...I was some what productive today. I washed clothes and had an awesome workout on the treadmill! Wait...I almost forgot (although how I'm not sure) while I was washing clothes this guy came in and he looked like Jeffery Dahmer (not exaggerating). He kept walking past me, moving my baskets and if he washed his hands once....he washed his hands a good 15 times in about 45 minutes! Of course when it was time for him to dry his clothes he had to use the dryer right next to mine and while he was loading his clothes he stared at me NON STOP! At that point I was like Oh Hell Nah...so I grabbed my jeans out of the dryer (still very damp) and left....YES he was that damn scary!
Oh...I almost forgot! Earlier this week I went on a little "ghost hunt" with my cousin...we found 0 ghost but I was almost bitten by a rattlesnake (I was so scared..I couldn't speak...for those that know me...that is something)! When it went in the other direction I slowly backed up and then RAN LIKE HELL!! Note to self...no walking through the woods or tall grass in the middle of summer when snakes are running (slithering) rampant!
Well that is all the excitement I have for now....until next time!

The adventure continues......
Wow....that was exhausting!! Who knew setting up a new blog could take over 4 hours!!!
Now, for those that read the blog I had on Myspace......here I go again! When Myspace became obsolete I saved all of those (so yes you might see some of the really really funny ones again...LOL) and thought I was finished with the whole blog thing, but I really miss it! After all, somethings are just too long and too complicated to put on a Facebook status...right? Hopefully those of you that followed the Myspace blog will read this one as well. I have no idea what I will write about yet...probably a little bit of everything. I don't really want to give this blog a description because I would like everyone else to be just as surprised as I am by what will be posted from day to day!
